About Kv

 

Kendriya Vidyalaya Karnal was established in 1986 in civil sector under the patronage of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD.

Like all Kendriya Vidyalayas, KV, Karnal too adheres to four fold Principles: 

* To cater to the education needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees, including Defence and Paramilitary personnel, by, providing common programme of education in co ordination with Kendriva Vidyalayas all over India and abroad. 
* To Preserve Excellence.
* To initiate and promote experiments and innovation in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE and NCERT etc. To Develop the spirit of National Integration. 
 

The Vidyalaya shifted to its newly built building in August, 2011.

The Vidyalaya is located on Kaithal road at a distance of 05 km from railway station and 06 km from general bus stand of Karnal. The sprawling trees, chirping birds and the beautiful greenery enhances a lovely atmosphere where the Principal and teachers have a cordial relationship with all the students of the Vidyalaya.

    Vidyalaya is running in one shift.
    Vidyalaya is running in permanent building.
    In the year 2011-12 the result of class XII is 100%
    In the year 2011-12 the result of class X is 100%

Details of previous and new campus :

  The Vidyalaya was running in temporary building since 1986 till July, 2011.

  Vidyalaya's new building construction work was completed & the Vidyalaya shifted to the new building in the first week of August.

 

Facilities available including games and sports facilities:

The Vidyalaya is having the facility of following games :   1.          Volley Ball       2.       Table tennis
In the geographical map Karnal takes the peaceful position between the land of two battle field i.e. Kurushetra of Mahabharat and Panipat the field of freedom struggle. This is believed to be the land of Karan the great warrior in the epic Mahabharata.  
An educational institute aims to bring all round development of a child and bring forth the hidden talents and potentialities out of him. Today in the era of space and internet we aspire to be on top of the world. The Kendriya Vidyalaya kamal inspires, encourages and express its students to innovations, technology aided education, manifold indoor and outdoor activities to shape the students into ideal citizens.

For this the school imparts, together with academics, various co-curricular activities through House system, games and sports events, yoga, cubs-bulbul and scouts and guides. Value education is imparted to help the students grow into good human beings and useful citizens.

  To unravel and nurture the latent talents, the students are inspired to participate in music, art and painting, dramatics, debates and quizes etc.

To promote joyful learning without stress, overall development and confidence among children, comprehensive-continuous evaluation and grading system is adopted. There are no formal unit-tests and examination in Classes I and II.
